The Georgia Federation of Public Service Employees is committed to promoting and advocating for quality public services, efficiency in government and positive community engagement. The services our members provided too often go unnoticed, unappreciated and unrewarded. But we seldom complain, because we believe public service is not just a job, but a calling.

Our philosophy is to work in collaboration with the community and our employers for the benefit of those they rely on our services. Far too often, everyone is finger pointing or making it an “us versus them” proposition. We believe we are stronger together and by working in partnership, we can make our place of employment and neighborhoods an even better place to live, work and call home.

We collectively advocate for employee benefits, public transparency, government accountability, work place efficiency and quality public services.

FPSE Provided $20,000 and $50,000 Life Insurance for Member

  • Each member automatically receives a $20,000 life insurance benefit as part of their membership dues.  Our first responders, including Police Officers, Fire Fighters and Corrections Officers receive $50,000. If the death is the result of an accident, the policy amount is double. For a copy of your certificate of coverageclick here. (click here link should direct to member portal/sign)

- FPSE Provided Disability Benefit for Members

  • Each member automatically receives a Long-Term Disability benefit as part of their membership dues.  If a member is hurt on or off the job and is unable to work, they will receive $500 a month for up to (5) five years to assist them with their expenses. Each year the FPSE Family Scholarship Programs provides financial support to our members their children and grandchildren.  Members attending an accredited college or university are eligible for scholarship assistance.  Children and grandchildren of members who are graduating high school seniors may apply as well.  This scholarship may be used for any field of study. The application period is January 1st – March 15th.

Eligibility:

  • At time of application be a member in good standing for at least one-year
  • Be enrolled in a community college or university taking course work in any field of study
  • For children and grandchildren be a graduating high school senior
  • Return completed application and required documentation by March 15th.
