Scholarships

Each year our Family Grant and Scholarship Programs provide financial support to our members, their children and grandchildren. Members attending an accredited college or university are eligible for scholarship assistance.

Insurance

Our members automatically receive a $20,000 life insurance benefit and a 5-year long-term disability plan for on or off the job injuries. Police Officers, Fire Fighters and Correction Officers receive $50,000.

Home Loans

“Making the Dream Come True” home loan program is available to our members in good standing. Members receive $3,000 towards closing cost, $600 towards appraisal cost, no points, no fees, competitive interest rates, first-year paid home warranty insurance and more.

The Georgia Federation of Public Service Employees actively monitors legislation that may impact our members and state funding affecting our agencies’ services and programs. We work closely with state legislators to ensure sufficient funding exists to support our members and the critical programs provided to the communities we serve. Read more.

FPSE Provided $20,000 and $50,000 Life Insurance for Member

  • Each member automatically receives a $20,000 life insurance benefit as part of their membership dues.  Our first responders, including Police Officers, Fire Fighters and Corrections Officers receive $50,000. - FPSE Provided Disability Benefit for Members

  • Each member automatically receives a Long-Term Disability benefit as part of their membership dues.  If a member is hurt on or off the job and is unable to work, they will receive $500 a month for up to (5) five years to assist them with their expenses. Each year the FPSE Family Scholarship Programs provides financial support to our members their children and grandchildren.  Members attending an accredited college or university are eligible for scholarship assistance.  Children and grandchildren of members who are graduating high school seniors may apply as well.  This scholarship may be used for any field of study. The application period is January 1st – March 15th.

Eligibility:

  • At time of application be a member in good standing for at least one-year
  • Be enrolled in a community college or university taking course work in any field of study
  • For children and grandchildren be a graduating high school senior
  • Return completed application and required documentation by March 15th.

Making the Dream Come True” home loan/purchase program.  As a member in good standing with the Georgia Federation of Public Service Employees (FPSE) you are eligible for participation in our program. The program highlights include:
